OnePlus 15 is finally headed to the United States, and preorder is open now—here’s the timeline for when you can actually get one.
After debuting in China, the OnePlus 15 is ready for U.S. sales, delayed by the longest government shutdown in U.S. history which prevented FCC clearance until now.
Launch details
The flagship phone arrived in China at the end of October, and a U.S. release would typically follow about a month later. However, the government shutdown, which began on October 1, 2025, and stretched through November 12, 2025, pushed back the U.S. rollout.
Pricing and release window
Preorders currently run through the OnePlus website, with later availability at Amazon and Best Buy anticipated. The base model starts at $900 and includes 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, available in black only.
To access more colors and larger storage, you’ll need to upgrade. Ultraviolet and Sand Storm variants cost $1,000 and come with 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage.
OnePlus indicates shipments will begin within 10 days for preorder customers, with delivery expected around Tuesday, December 23. It’s not clear when the phones will hit physical stores.
Incentives with preorder
Preorder customers can choose one complimentary accessory while supplies last: OnePlus Buds Pro 3 in white or black, a 50W AIRVOOC wireless charger, select phone cases, or, in certain cases, the OnePlus Watch 3. The earbuds typically retail for around $180, making them a high-value perk.
What to expect from the OnePlus 15
The phone is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, one of the first devices to use the new chipset. It sports a 6.78-inch 1.5K OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, which can scale up to 165Hz for gaming sessions. Photography capabilities include a 50MP main camera, a 50MP ultrawide, a 50MP telephoto, and a 32MP front camera.
The U.S. variant packs a large 7,300mAh battery. Charging speeds are 50W wireless and 80W wired, which remain strong even though they’re slower than the Chinese model.
Independent testing and impressions
Tom’s Guide reviewed the U.S. version in November, with reviewer John Velasco calling the device a substantial upgrade—arguably more satisfying than any prior OnePlus release.
In battery tests, the OnePlus 15 delivered an impressive 25 hours and 13 minutes of use before needing a recharge, a notable lead over competitors such as the iPhone 17 Pro Max and Galaxy S25 Ultra. The battery performance translates to more than ten extra hours of usage compared with the S25 Ultra and roughly an eight-hour longer workday than the iPhone 17.
Bottom line from the reviewer
Velasco summed it up: the best phone released this year arrived later than expected, but it’s well worth the wait.
