James Morrison Wins Rolex Grand Final: Road to Mallorca Rankings & DP World Tour Graduates 2026 (2026)

Get ready for an emotional rollercoaster as we dive into the thrilling world of golf! The Road to Mallorca Rankings has just crowned its champions, and the DP World Tour is welcoming some new faces!

But here's where it gets controversial... or rather, emotional. James Morrison, an English veteran golfer, has made a remarkable comeback to the DP World Tour, and his story will leave you inspired.

The Rolex Grand Final, the last event of the HotelPlanner Tour season, witnessed an incredible turnaround for Morrison. With his son, Finley, by his side as caddie, Morrison carded a solid 70 in the final round, securing a well-deserved three-stroke victory at Club de Golf Alcanada, Spain. This win not only meant a return to the prestigious DP World Tour but also a heartwarming family moment.

At 40 years old, Morrison had lost his card for the 2025 DP World Tour season and was playing on the lower-tier HotelPlanner Tour, hoping for a comeback. And comeback he did! Starting the week at a distant 36th in the Road to Mallorca rankings, Morrison's victory at the Grand Final rocketed him up 30 positions to a remarkable sixth place.

The two-time DP World Tour winner had initially declared this event as his last, but fate had other plans. An emotional Morrison, who has now played in an impressive 438 tournaments on the DP World Tour, was left speechless: "I've got no clue how I feel to be honest. I said this was going to be my last event, 100%, and this has completely messed it up, so I don't know."

Reflecting on his performance, Morrison credited his past wins on the DP World Tour and the challenging wind conditions for keeping him calm and focused. He added, "I stayed calm, stayed with it. I couldn't feel my arms on 18, but couldn't care less, a win's a win."

As for his return to the DP World Tour next season, Morrison's shock and excitement were palpable. "Haven't got a clue, haven't got a Tour bag, haven't got a [full-time] caddie," he joked, looking at his son Finley, who stepped in as caddie for the week. "He's got a half past six alarm for school tomorrow morning. I love him, he was so good."

Morrison's victory wasn't the only highlight. Stefano Mazzoli also secured his spot on the DP World Tour, finishing just three shots behind Morrison. And Albin Bergstrom, who finished in a tie for third, picked up the 20th and final DP World Tour card.
